The yacon plant originates from the Andean highlands of Peru and is known for its valuable root tubers. These edible "roots of life" have been prized for centuries by indigenous Andean peoples for their unique composition.
Our yacon powder is produced by gently drying and grinding the roots and is notable for its mild, fruity taste. This product naturally contains a high proportion of indigestible fructooligosaccharides (FOS), which can positively support gut health.
Our yacon snack comes from traditional varieties and has a lovely sweet taste, which is often compared to that of honey, caramel, or molasses.
Yacon syrup is extracted from the yacon root (Smallanthus sonchifolius). The freshly pressed juice of the root is a gift from nature that has been appreciated and enjoyed by indigenous Andean peoples for centuries.
