Reishi is a mushroom that has been valued in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for millennia. While the Reishi mushroom is also known in Japan as "mushroom of immortality" or Ling Zhi, in Germany it is primarily known as "Glossy Ganoderma", which refers to its external appearance: The Reishi has a cap about 5-20 cm high, which sits on a (mostly) lateral stem. The fruiting body appears in a shimmering, reddish-brown color - as if varnished - with a white edge.

With its tradition of over 2000 years in TCM, Reishi, like hardly any other medicinal mushroom, is surrounded by numerous myths. In China, it has long been valued as a natural food supplement and is even considered more valuable than ginseng. Only over time did the Glossy Ganoderma find its way into the Western world, so that today it enjoys steadily growing popularity.

For Reishi powder, the entire fruiting body is gently dried and then finely ground, so that the valuable ingredients are protected and preserved. Our Reishi powder comes from controlled organic cultivation and is free of additives and excipients.
