Around 110 rural women visit PureRaw in Klötze

A look behind the scenes, engaging conversations, and plenty of plant-based enjoyment

What happens when two buses carrying around 110 Rural Women ("Landfrauen") from all over Saxony-Anhalt pull up at PureRaw? Our site in Klötze turns into a one-day experience centered around plant-based nutrition, algae, and the story behind our brand.

To ensure all visitors could explore, ask questions, and taste at their leisure, they were divided into several smaller groups. While one group explored our warehouse with Sissy and Cristina, the other received personal insights into the company from PureRaw founder Kirstin Knufmann.

Experience PureRaw up close

During the tour of our premises, the Rural Women were able to take a look behind the scenes: How are our products packaged? Where are they stored? And what stages do they go through before being prepared for shipping?

This led to many interesting conversations and questions about our processes, our products, and the daily work here at PureRaw.

In the office, Kirstin took the visitors on a short journey through the history of PureRaw, sharing stories from its founding in 2010 to our current product diversity. The discussion also covered our values, our many years of expertise in algae, and our commitment to making high-quality plant-based products versatile and suitable for everyday life.

Discovering plant-based bites with algae

Of course, there had to be something to taste. Together with our vegan caterer Olli, we had prepared a varied buffet featuring numerous small delicacies.

These included, among other things, Nori tortillas, sushi, Wakame cucumbers, bruschetta with algae, plant-based algae cream cheese, potato salad with vegan "Vrikadellen" (meatless meatballs), and a "deconstructed cake" with BOBEI. The bright blue water containing Blue Spirulina provided a special splash of color.

This allowed the visitors to experience firsthand how versatilely micro- and macroalgae can be integrated into plant-based cooking, whether in savory, spicy, or colorful recipes.
