Mulberries (Morus), like figs (Ficus), are a genus of plants in the mulberry family (Moraceae) and one of the oldest cultivated plants. They originally come from China and are now grown in many warm European countries, as they are enjoying increasing popularity! Their incomparably fruity-sweet honey aroma makes them increasingly popular! The appearance of the mulberry resembles elongated blackberries in shape, while the color can range from cream-colored (white mulberry) to red to black, depending on the variety.

Our organic white mulberries are gently dried after harvesting to raw food quality, so that the valuable ingredients are optimally preserved. The fruits ripen in a long harvesting period from July to August. They do not all ripen at the same time on the tree, but gradually, making harvesting possible over several weeks. The harvest is abundant and regular.

Our mulberries are gently dried away from moisture, in pure mountain air in the Taurus Mountains at an altitude of approx. 1,300 m. Although they lose their color during drying, their sweet taste is intensified by the drying process, so that the fruits can also be used as a sugar substitute (e.g. in tea or muesli).
