Lucuma (Pouteria lucuma) is a sweet, golden-yellow fruit that thrives in Peru, Ecuador, and Chile. Ripened under the South American sun, the Lucuma fruit develops a creamy, fruity vanilla flavor with a light caramel note. The Incas already revered and valued this delicious fruit for its natural sweetness. It is not without reason that it is also called the "Gold of the Incas." While Lucuma ice cream is currently enjoying ever-increasing demand in Peru, finely ground Lucuma powder enriches all kinds of food and drinks in this country!

The fruits for our Lucuma powder grow under controlled organic conditions on the slopes of the Peruvian Andes at an altitude of 1,000–2,400 m. There, the growth conditions for the Lucuma are optimal. For the fruit powder, the raw materials are gently dried and then finely ground, resulting in a high-quality raw food product, free from additives. Thanks to the gentle processing, the valuable and naturally occurring ingredients of the fruit are preserved.
