Finally the time has come: RawKao Kids is our first cocoa-containing
Drink powder for little and big rascals.
In the recipe of a special product like this, of course, every
Ingredient wanted to be there. But only the finest and most delicious should combine
to form this delicious drink mix with a gentle chocolate note. So the
chaos at PureRaw in Klötze was quite big at the beginning. But from the start...
First there was the carob...
... Carob, that's what the pulp of the brown pods growing on the carob tree in the Mediterranean region is called. This carob knew very well about its advantages. Not only did it have an aromatic, subtly sweet caramel flavor, but unlike its colleague cocoa, it was even free of theobromine, less bitter, and not stimulating, which is why it considered itself particularly suitable for a delicious children's drink mix.
It wasn't long before the beautiful lucuma joined the carob...
... a sweet, golden-yellow fruit that ripens under the sun of South America. In RawKao Kids, she claimed, she could "skillfully unfold her creamy-fruity vanilla aroma and give the drink mixture its creaminess."
But the beautiful lucuma didn't have much time to present herself, because then Yacon trotted in, who had been listening to the conversation....
"I, the Yacon plant, am native to the Peruvian Andes. The sweetly-mild taste of my tubers is often compared to that of honey, caramel or molasses. How delicious is that?! I am perfect for RawKao Kids!"
Suddenly, delicately bitter cocoa also got wind of the matter and joined the crowd...
"I, cocoa, am not only known as the "food of the gods," but have always been popular with young and old due to my incomparable taste - whether as a chocolate bar or as a cocoa drink! So how can I be missing from RawKao Kids?! I contain less acid and bitter substances than conventional cocoa varieties, and am therefore pleasantly mild in taste. So a small amount of my aroma should definitely be there..."
Then the strong maca root rudely interrupted the cocoa and emphasized:
"I, the maca root, am a small, fiber-rich tuber native to the high altitudes of the Andes in Peru. The sweet malt taste of my root powder makes me a delicious addition to drinks, which is why I am an indispensable component of RawKao Kids. Last but not least, I form a harmonious duo with cocoa in terms of taste!"
... For a moment it seemed as if some calm had finally returned, when a voice from afar called out:
"Wait a minute, not so fast...! I am vanilla, the queen of all spices, and without me, something is missing! Only I, with my delightful scent, ultimately crown the RawKao Kids drink mixture!"
So the different ingredients finally united peacefully to form this delicious children's drink mixture as they realized that each ingredient was delicious in its own way and indispensable for enjoyment.
All ingredients in RawKao Kids come from controlled organic cultivation. RawKao Kids tastes especially delicious in warm or cold plant-based drink/milk, is suitable as a topping for muesli, or for refining delicious baked goods.

Preparation: Add 2-3 teaspoons (approx. 5 g) to 250 ml of plant-based drink/milk, sweeten as desired and stir/mix well - Enjoy!
Tip: A fine "crema" is created when preparing in a blender. Enjoy our RawKao Kids cold in summer and warm in winter.

Yacon syrup is obtained from the yacon root (Smallanthus sonchifolius). The freshly pressed juice of the root is a gift of nature and has been valued and enjoyed by the indigenous Andean peoples for centuries.
Our Yacon syrup comes from traditional varieties (purple and yellow) from the Peruvian Andes and is a pure natural product.
This product naturally contains a high proportion of indigestible fructooligosaccharides (FOS), which can positively support gut health. With a minimum of 30 g of dietary fiber per 100 g, our syrup is fully in line with the fiber syrup trend.
Yacon syrup is pleasantly mild and versatile as a natural sweetener. It is particularly easy to dispense and ready to use, for example as a topping on waffles, pancakes or crepes. Also delicious in drinks, salad dressings, desserts, ice cream, smoothies, egg whites, fluff or aquafaba, in baked goods and more!
