Die Gerste gehört zur Familie der Süßgräser und wird in Europa traditionell als Getreide angebaut. Unser Gerstengras stammt aus kontrolliert biologischem Anbau und wird zum optimalen Erntezeitpunkt, bei einer Wuchshöhe von etwa 10 bis 15 cm, geerntet. Eine schonende Trocknung und feines Vermahlen sorgen dafür, dass die natürlichen Eigenschaften der Pflanze bestmöglich erhalten bleiben.
Gerstengras enthält von Natur aus pflanzliches Eiweiß und ist eine Quelle von Ballaststoffen.
