Algae Sommelier - IHK Certificate Course 2026

The Algae Sommelier certificate course offered by the IHK Bildungsakademie Magdeburg GmbH is taking place again this year.

The course has been postponed to late summer 2026 and will be held this time in Southern Germany, in the Kaiserslautern area. The exact date will be announced in due course.

In a total of 54 teaching units, you will get to know the world of algae and be able to try things out for yourself in the practical workshop.

Duration: 54 hours

Schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays 09:00 - 12:15, 3 final days 09:00 - 16:45

Description

Qualify yourself in a compact and practical way in a subject with significant future potential.

As an Algae Sommelier, you will possess the skills to implement innovative ideas for healthy nutrition in gastronomy, nutritional consulting, naturopathy, and other fields.

The practical workshop integrated into the course enables you to test and apply the knowledge you have acquired. Subject experts will qualify you in small learning groups—from practice, for practice.

After successfully passing the final test (final project), you will receive the IHK "Algae Sommelier (IHK)" certificate in both printed and digital form (badge).
