The almond tree (Prunus dulcis) is a plant species of the genus Prunus within the rose family (Rosaceae). It has been cultivated by humans for 4,000 years, thriving particularly well in the Mediterranean region and California, as well as in the Near and Central East. The ripe fruits of the almond tree visually resemble small peaches. Beneath the green "flesh" lies the comparatively large kernel with the soft, white embryo under a hard shell, which has long served as a high-quality food in various ways.

Today, almonds are offered in various forms in stores: as slivered almonds for decorating dishes, or as flour, almond cream, and almond oil - almonds in any form are a true delight.

Our almond kernels come from certified organic cultivation in Spain. After the almond harvest, which begins at the end of September, they are cracked, dried to raw food quality, and carefully sorted. They impress not only with their taste but are also a true source of fiber (10 g/100 g)*. This makes them a popular snack for any occasion.
