Die Macawurzel ist eine kleine Powerknolle, welche in den Höhenlagen der Anden in Peru beheimatet ist. Die Wurzelknolle gehört zur Familie der Brassicaceae (Kreuzblütler) und wird von der einheimischen Bevölkerung schon seit Jahrhunderten wegen ihres beachtlichen Nährstoffgehalts eingesetzt.
Auch bekannt als "peruanischer Ginseng" ist Maca hierzulande vor allem unter Sportlern und Kennern, auch aufgrund ihres hohen Ballaststoffgehalt (24 g/100 g)*, sehr beliebt. Die schonende Trocknung mit anschließender Vermahlung, ermöglicht den Erhalt der wertvollen Inhaltsstoffe. Unser Maca-Premium Pulver beinhaltet ganze dunkle (80 % schwarz, 15 % rot-lila) und gelbe (5 %) Macawurzel und ist ein Naturprodukt höchster Qualität.
